At Early Hours we really want to express our appreciation and love for the NHS, each of us has needed it at some point in our or our family’s lives and their role is so important now more than ever. Guy’s, St Thomas’ Foundation and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London holds a special place in Lizzie’s heart in particular, having performed an eye operation on her son Arthur last November. The amazing team of doctors, nurses, volunteers and all the wonderful staff there are now working around the clock to care for those affected by the pandemic.
In our own flowery way, we wanted to help kickstart fundraising for the hospital trust by creating this floral installation in a rainbow of bright blooms. Keeping to the government guidelines, our Early Hours team members volunteered on a letter each in isolation and our wonderful friends at Design Crew Ltd built and installed the framework for the display with a very quick turnaround. We have loved hearing from the hospital’s staff about how it has brightened their arrival at work and about the generous donations so far raised.
