Chelsea in Bloom – The Competition

We are so proud to announce that Early Hours London is taking part in this year’s Chelsea in Bloom.   The innovative floral art showcase that transforms the streets of Chelsea each year in celebration of Chelsea Flower Show.  You can see all of this year’s wondrous floral displays from 21 to 26 May 2018.

Produced by Cadogan in association with the Royal Horticultural Society each year Chelsea’s best restaurants, shops and hotels team up with floral designers to create fresh flower displays based on a particular theme and we’re honoured to be working with Harry’s Dolce Vita.  This year’s theme is ‘Summer of Love’, it had to be after the magnificent Royal Wedding at the weekend, but also because Chelsea was such a fashionable destination during the 60’s/70’s cultural revolution.

For our entry we have taken inspiration from the Italian theming at Harry’s Dolce Vita and imagined a scene from a Royal Honeymoon to the iconic city of Venice.  A classic gondola floats on a sea of blue hydrangeas and delphiniums amongst stripey flower filled mooring poles, all set against a huge heart backdrop created from growing bougonvellia and jasmine.  Visitors can sit in the romantic gondola and we’re enjoying seeing all the photos on social media #earlyhoursltd

We’ve always hoped to take part in Chelsea In Bloom so this week really is a dream come true for us. Aside from the awards judged by an expert panel there is also The People’s Champion Award chosen by the public.  If you love our design we would truly appreciate your vote in this category – voting is open Tuesday 22nd till Thursday 24th midnight and you can VOTE HERE
